The 18th Century Austrian Baroque Secretaire cabinet exemplifies exquisite craftsmanship from around 1770. This nutwood piece incorporates other fine veneers such as walnut, cherry, and maple, coordinated in a distinguishing inlaid design. The cabinet features a lower chest with three large drawers and an elegant upper section with seven drawers and a center door. Behind this door lies additional storage divided into compartments and secured by multiple bolts, enhancing functionality. The fall front writing surface, covered in red felt, conceals four small drawers, with two further drawers on the outside. The detailed brass fittings and solid nutwood carvings atop complete the antique's refined character. This piece presents in a good restored condition with authentic patina and minor stress indications, maintaining its integrity as a Baroque masterpiece.
