The 19th Century Biedermeier chest of drawers from Austria, dated around 1830, exemplifies refined woodworking with its nutwood veneer that highlights a striking grain pattern. This Biedermeier chest of drawers includes four spacious main drawers, with the top hinged drawer ingeniously designed as a writing desk featuring an ebonized surface. In addition to these primary drawers, there are four smaller drawers veneered in bird's-eye maple and two central open compartments, offering extra storage options.
