This 19th-century Austrian wall mirror exemplifies the Biedermeier style, featuring a gilt frame from around 1830. The frame combines deep grooves with carved and stucco details, adorned with distinctive Bull's Eye motifs and fine stripes with tiny spheres. Natural wear has revealed the red bolus primer beneath some gilding, enhancing its antique elegance. The mirror's back is sealed with brown paper and includes a forged ring, facilitating secure wall mounting. While the original mirror glass was replaced during restoration, the piece retains excellent original condition, showcasing the characteristic design and craftsmanship of its period.
