This 19th century nut wood cabinet, known as a vertiko, originates from Austria around 1890. The cabinet features a hand-polished shellac finish alongside finely crafted nut wood veneer and mirror-matched burr walnut inlays on its two doors. Thanks to its distinctive lines and solid nut wood carvings, this piece stands out as unique. The front design allows the doors to fully open, revealing four spacious compartments inside. It also includes an additional drawer at the top, adorned with brass fittings. The cabinet’s polished surface highlights the intricate grain of the carefully applied veneer. Despite a small burn mark on the top plate, its overall beauty remains unaffected, making it a versatile item suitable for use as a mini bar or dish cabinet. This versatile nut wood piece brings a refined elegance to any interior.
