19TH CENTURY, AUSTRIA, NUTWOOD, TRUMEAU, COMMODE

regular price $7,900.00
Subtotal: $7,900.00

This 19th century Biedermeier nutwood trumeau commode from Austria around 1830 exemplifies elegant craftsmanship. The commode's surface is richly veneered with bookmatched nutwood, showcasing a remarkable grain pattern that extends from the top to the base, creating a striking visual effect. It features a lockable drawer with brass pulls positioned above two doors that open to reveal a divided interior, useful for organized storage. The doors have a cherrywood counter-veneer on the interior to prevent warping, preserving its over 190-year-old original lock. Restored to perfect condition with a hand-polished shellac finish, this Austrian trumeau commode retains both its functional and aesthetic appeal from the Biedermeier period.
