This 19th century oakwood secretary cabinet from Austria showcases the Baroque revival style with its distinct rustic yet elegant nature. Crafted from solid hand-carved oakwood stained in a dark nutwood tone, the cabinet features intricate carvings on pilasters and an ornate front. It includes four drawers accented with brass fittings and a central hinged bureau door that transforms into a functional writing desk, complete with compartments and small drawers for organization. Measuring approximately 52 by 27.5 by 16.1 inches, this cabinet is a perfect size for smaller rooms while maintaining its grandeur. The oakwood secretary cabinet represents a fine example of Baroque revival craftsmanship from around 1870 and remains in great restored condition.
