19TH CENTURY, AUSTRIA, RUSTIC TRAMP ART MIRROR, HANDCARVED, 1890

regular price $1,550.00
Subtotal: $1,550.00

This 19TH CENTURY rustic tramp art mirror from Austria features a handcarved softwood frame crafted around 1890. The mirror highlights the distinct tramp art style, characterized by its slim, chip-carved frame with straight edges and slightly beveled, protruding corners. Finished in a dark brown almost black semi-gloss varnish, the frame's notch cut design is striking and authentic. The mirror plate has been renewed during restoration, and a hand-forged ring on the back facilitates easy wall mounting. This well-preserved tramp art mirror represents both functional and decorative qualities typical of the late 19th century in Austria.
