This 20th century Art Nouveau elmwood armchair, known as Mod. 1307, was designed by Wilhelm Schmidt and crafted by Prag-Rudniker in Vienna around 1903. The armchair features a solid elmwood frame combined with a rattan seating surface, which has been renewed to maintain usability. It remains in remarkably good original condition considering its age, with six decorative brass screws adorning the top of the backrest enhancing its design. This rare Viennese secession clubchair represents an exceptional example of early 20th century furniture design, celebrated for its timeless style and craftsmanship. The metal plaque marked "Prag-Rudniker" at the bottom confirms its provenance.
