The Biedermeier dining table, crafted in Austria circa 1830, presents a round cherrywood design known for its fine mirrormatched grain. This 19th-century center table features a bulbous cherry veneered base combined with a nutwood veneered frame about two inches wide, accented with delicate maple inlay. The table's center showcases a unique ebonized field with a floral motif and a German inscription from the Lord's Prayer, adding historical and artistic value. Finished with hand-polished shellac, the table highlights exceptional wood grain and craftsmanship, reflecting the elegance of the Biedermeier period. Its restored good condition preserves its antique character as both a functional and decorative piece.
