This oval 19th century nutwood side table, originating from Austria around 1830, belongs to the Biedermeier period and presents a refined example of craftsmanship from that time. The table features a small central drawer with three compartments beneath its oval top, which highlights a striking wood grain pattern. It stands on two expertly carved solid nutwood columns, which are supported by an elegantly designed two-foot base. The surface of this piece is veneered with fine nutwood and finished with a traditional hand-polished shellac, preserving its antique charm. Despite being over 190 years old, this side table remains in good condition following restoration, combining historical value with practical use as a sewing or accent table.
